11. The day it all made sense

The day the board results were announced, Tripti's hands trembled as she opened the website. She wasn't expecting miracles anymore—only hoping her hard work had been enough. When the marks appeared, tears filled her eyes. She hadn't topped the school, but she had scored far beyond what she once believed she could. For the first time in months, she smiled without forcing herself to.

Her parents looked at the result in disbelief. The same girl they had once doubted had proved, not to the world, but to herself, that she was capable. Aalankrit was one of the first to congratulate her, smiling as though her success was his own. Nandani and Gauri celebrated just as proudly. For a moment, every sleepless night and silent tear finally felt worth it.

That evening, as the celebrations settled, Tripti quietly folded her hands in prayer. She thanked God for giving her the strength to survive the year she once thought would break her. Then, without telling anyone, she whispered one more prayer.

"I hope Isha is smiling today too. I hope she got the marks she worked so hard for. May she always be happy."

Some bonds may end, but genuine wishes for someone's happiness never do.

As she looked at the sky that evening, Tripti realized she had finally found what she had been searching for all along—not Isha, not answers, but herself. The pain hadn't disappeared, yet it no longer controlled her. She had learned that strength isn't never falling apart. Strength is choosing to rise, even after life gives you every reason to stay broken.
