The room was so quiet that even the scratching of their pens sounded loud.
One by one, they folded their papers and placed them inside the cardboard box.
Mrs. Sharma opened it and smiled.
"Would any of you like to read yours aloud?"
Ayaan raised his hand first.
He unfolded his paper and grinned.
"I walked into Room 17 thinking I'd be counting the minutes until the bell. Instead, I found people who made me wish the bell would ring a little later."
Everyone laughed.
Next was Reyansh.
"This room taught me that my marks could describe my performance, but they could never define my worth."
Vihaan looked at the group before reading his.
"I thought losing basketball meant losing myself. This room reminded me that I was never just an athlete."
Akruti held her paper tightly.
"For the first time, someone understood the language my silence was speaking."
Yash's voice was almost a whisper.
"Thank you for proving that the boy no one noticed was worth noticing after all."
Aashi smiled through watery eyes.
"This room didn't just give me friends. It gave me the courage to trust people again."
Finally, Ayesha unfolded her paper.
"Sometimes the right people don't enter your life through an open door. Sometimes, they arrive through a punishment."
No one spoke after that.
Mrs. Sharma carefully placed all seven papers back into the box.
"I think," she said softly, "these belong to Room 17."
And somehow...
Everyone agreed.
